Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman from the United States. Buss is the sole owner of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently is the president of the organization. Buss born in California has an impressive family background. The father of her Jerry Buss was a real-estate businessman who became manager of the Lakers and other businesses related to sports. Her parents divorced in 1972. broke up together and she felt left out. She joined the family business at the age of 19 as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she founded an organization called the Los Angeles Blades, a professional team of roller hockey. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before becoming the Vice President of the Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013 and his controlling ownership for the Lakers was transferred to Buss and her five siblings via a trust for the family with each sibling having equal voting rights. Buss was elected in 2013 to take over the presidency for Los Angeles Lakers. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also a co-owner in Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion that is based at Los Angeles.
