Reese Witherspoon started seriously pursuing an acting career when she was enrolled at Stanford University. Her early success was in movies like Pleasantville, Election and Legally Blonde. However, it was her role as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde's big-budget smash that truly set the stage for her professional career. Witherspoon also won an Academy Award in the year 2005 for Walk the Line. Water for Elephants, This Means War, and Wild are some of her recent movies. She started her professional career in the early 2000s playing a variety of small-sized television shows. Her debut as a feature film in the 2003 comedy The Invisible Man. From there she was able to be a part of a variety of shows on television, such as House of Lies Whitney and Better Call Saul. In addition to her acting career, she has appeared in movies such as The Dictator or The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. In addition to her acting career she is an experienced painter who has shown her work in numerous galleries.
